The Pedersoli 1886 Far West is a lever action in .45-70 GOVERNMENT with a 26" barrel, a 1:18 twist and 8-round capacity.

A long barrel gives the cartridge room to build velocity, at the cost of handling in tight spaces and some added weight. That is the standard twist for this cartridge, and it stabilizes the bullet weights most factory ammunition is loaded with. It comes drilled & tapped, so it is ready to take an optic without extra machining.
